Field Service Technician (Industrial Electrician)

About the role

Dematic, a global leader in intelligent automated solutions for logistics, manufacturing and warehousing, is hiring an experienced industrial A-grade electrician as a Field Service Technician in Melbourne. This is a full-time, hands-on field-based role supporting Dematic customers in the Melbourne region, with company vehicle, tools, uniform, mobile phone and laptop provided.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality electrical and mechanical support to customers
• Provide contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services
• Work the on-call roster and be flexible to work overtime, including some weekends
• Work day and afternoon shifts as part of the roster

Required profile

• Australian electrical trade licence (a restricted licence may be considered)
• Experience troubleshooting and solving equipment faults
• Experience in computerised maintenance systems (CMMS)
• Experience in mechanical and pneumatic systems; hydraulic systems experience is an advantage
• Experience in automation (conveyors) and material handling equipment highly regarded
• Strong understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices
• Current driver's licence (mandatory)
• Ability to work unsupervised, make decisions and be results-driven

Required skills

• PLC experience in Siemens S7 and SCADA WIN CC is ideal
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
