Field Service Mechanic - Komatsu Forklifts (Newcastle)

About the role

Komatsu Forklift Australia promotes, sells, hires and services the full range of Komatsu forklifts and related products. An experienced Field Service Mechanic is needed for the Newcastle branch to provide skilled maintenance and repair of Komatsu forklifts and allied equipment, contributing to a safe, quality and efficient team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of work orders and timesheets
• Diagnose faults on equipment and perform routine maintenance
• Complete major rebuilds and repairs as required
• Maintain a professional level of customer service
• Work unsupervised in a time-critical environment

Required profile

• Proven high level of customer service
• Current driver's licence
• Relevant trade qualification (light or heavy vehicle)
• Prior servicing, mechanical, electrical or hydraulic experience
• Understanding of industry safety protocols
• Ability to work unsupervised
• LPG qualifications desirable; forklift maintenance experience desirable

Required skills

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Time management skills
• Ability to operate a forklift truck
• Auto electrical experience, qualifications and diagnostic skills highly regarded
