Field Integration Support Officer

About the role

HorizonOne designs, manufactures and supports mission systems for the Australian Defence Force and international allied customers, including in the United States. This Field Integration Support Officer role sits in the Engineering department and coordinates the integration, test and set-to-work of mission systems in fielded locations and in the integration facility. It is hands-on, with field exposure of 10-12 weeks a year travelling to Australian and US sites.

Key responsibilities

• Support the integration and test of mission systems
• Produce accurate test reports and system documentation in line with Defence protocols
• Work with other engineers to set up network infrastructure before deployment and in the fielded environment
• Act as subject matter expert for set-to-work and ongoing support of systems in the field, engaging with external stakeholders
• Support system trials where required
• Undertake in-house training and upskilling on proprietary products and field support requirements

Required profile

• Sound knowledge of the Defence environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage workflow, set priorities and meet deadlines
• Experience leading or contributing to the routine maintenance and operational support of fielded systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
• Willingness to travel to Australian and US field sites for about 10-12 weeks per year
• NV1 security clearance required
