Field Education Liaison Officer - Social Work

About the role

Acknowledge Education is recruiting a Field Education Liaison Officer in Sydney to support Master of Social Work (Qualifying) students during their placements. You will act as the link between the university, students and field agencies, helping each student gain meaningful learning experiences and the support they need.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for practice education placements, coordinating student support and evaluating activities
• Conduct site visits and evaluations, regularly checking in with students and practice education supervisors
• Manage placement records, assess student performance and address placement issues promptly
• Help integrate social work theory with practice, ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and facilitate reflective learning through supervision, feedback, integrative seminars and related teaching activities

Required profile

• Bachelor, Master or higher qualification in Social Work (AQF 7 or above)
• Eligibility for enrolment with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
• 5 years of postgraduate experience in social work roles
• Current Working With Children's Check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Willingness to travel to agencies occasionally
