Family Office Tax Specialist | Manager | Private Tax

About the role

PwC Australia is hiring a Manager for its Private Tax Family Office team in Brisbane. The role provides tailored tax advisory, compliance and estate planning services to high net worth individuals, families and privately owned businesses, supporting their growth and succession needs. It sits in the Entrepreneurial & Private Business (EPB) line of service.

Key responsibilities

• Advise high net wealth individuals, families and business owners on complex tax matters including restructures, capital gains tax, Division 7A and trust losses.
• Provide tax compliance, planning and advisory services for client portfolios of trusts, companies, partnerships and individuals.
• Deliver family advisory services such as succession and estate planning.
• Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on the Top 500 and Next 5000 programs, ensuring compliance and resolving issues proactively.

Required profile

• Strong tax technical expertise across private wealth and family office structures.
• Proven experience managing high value client portfolios and building trusted relationships.
• Leadership capability to mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of a Private Tax specialist team.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with regulators such as the ATO.
