Family Lawyer – Remote (East Coast)

About the role

Join a leading community legal service as a Family Lawyer working fully remotely across the Eastern Seaboard. You will provide compassionate legal support to women dealing with domestic violence, child protection, and family law matters, helping them navigate some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver telephone and video advice to clients facing domestic violence, child protection, and family law issues.
• Prepare and review legal documents, court filings, and client correspondence.
• Collaborate with a remote team of experienced female lawyers to ensure trauma‑informed practice.
• Maintain client safety and confidentiality while managing crisis situations.
• Participate in case strategy meetings and contribute to the development of best‑practice guidelines.

Required profile

• At least 3 years post‑admission experience in family law and domestic violence.
• Demonstrated experience with child safety or child support matters is highly regarded.
• Strong judgment and problem‑solving abilities, especially in crisis contexts.
• Excellent communication skills with diverse client backgrounds.
• Professional interpersonal and relationship‑management capabilities.
