Family Lawyer

About the role

An established legal practice in Sydney's North West and Hills Districts is recruiting a Family Lawyer through a recruitment agency. The role suits someone who enjoys helping people navigate life's challenges, taking ownership of their work and building meaningful client relationships. It is predominantly family law, with a consistent and manageable portfolio of matters.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage a portfolio of family law matters from commencement through to resolution
• Provide professional, empathetic and practical advice to clients
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, barristers and colleagues
• Manage client files, billing, cost agreements and associated administrative requirements
• Prioritise workload and adapt to changing demands, seeking guidance when needed

Required profile

• Ideally 2-5 years of relevant experience
• Genuine passion for family law and a clear commitment to specialising in it
• Previous family law experience or a decided choice to pursue this area
• Personable, professional and able to work autonomously
• Strong organisational skills, reliability, attention to detail and flexibility
• Experience with billing, cost agreements and general legal practice administration is highly regarded

• Base salary up to $120,000 plus superannuation
• Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm
