Family Lawyer (3+ Years PAE)

About the role

A growing North West Sydney law firm with an established pipeline of family law work is looking for a Family Lawyer with 3+ years of practice experience. The firm plans to expand into the Sydney CBD in early 2027 and offers flexible working arrangements. You will manage your own caseload with autonomy, from first instruction through to resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of family law matters, from first instructions through to resolution
• Handle a mix of complex and straightforward matters with a focus on high-value work
• Advise clients on parenting arrangements, property settlements and separation
• Negotiate settlements and prepare matters for mediation and court
• Build strong client relationships and help the firm grow as it expands

Required profile

• Minimum 3+ years of practice experience in family law
• Admission to practise in NSW with a current practising certificate
• Confidence to manage your own matters with minimal supervision
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with a calm and empathetic manner with clients
• Commitment to a positive team culture
