Façades Engineer

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Façades Engineer to join its Buildings team in Victoria or South Australia. The role focuses on early‑stage façade design, problem‑solving and close collaboration with architects and multidisciplinary engineers to deliver high‑performance building envelopes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop façade engineering designs, including schematic design, performance strategies and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, building services engineers and structural teams to create integrated design solutions.
• Contribute to material selection, thermal and environmental performance intent during concept and design development.
• Support design reviews, options analysis and provide technical input across diverse building typologies.
• Assist construction delivery through design reviews and site inspections.
• Apply sustainable and buildable façade engineering principles.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of façade engineering experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Strong understanding of front‑end, design‑stage façade engineering rather than detailed shop‑drawing work.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with architects and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.
• Technically confident, curious and eager to deepen façade engineering expertise.
