About the role

Join SMEC, a global engineering consultancy, as an Experienced Engineer – Roads & Highways delivering transport infrastructure projects across North Queensland and the wider region.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver road and highway design solutions across all project phases.
• Prepare engineering designs, calculations, reports and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality and coordinated outcomes.
• Support project delivery to meet budget, programme and quality requirements.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and key stakeholders.
• Contribute to proposal preparation and business development activities.
• Mentor and support graduate and junior engineers.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and technical excellence.

• Experienced civil engineer with a passion for delivering transport infrastructure projects.
• Enjoys collaborative work and is committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for clients and communities.
