Experienced Driller's Offsider - FIFO

About the role

DDH1 Drilling, part of the Perenti Group, is seeking experienced Driller's Offsiders for its engineering drilling division in Western Australia. You will work alongside experienced Drillers on large diameter, directional, mud rotary and air hammer drilling projects, operating modern equipment in a safe, supportive team environment. The position is a flexible FIFO from any major Australian city.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the safe operation of large diameter, directional, mud rotary and air hammer drilling rigs
• Complete daily inspections, housekeeping and preventative maintenance
• Prepare and handle drilling rods, tools and equipment
• Assist with rig mobilisation, set-up and pack-down
• Maintain drilling fluids and support drilling operations
• Follow company and site safety procedures at all times
• Work collaboratively with the Driller and wider crew

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Driller's Offsider in mining or exploration drilling
• Exposure to large diameter, directional, mud rotary or air hammer drilling is highly regarded
• Current HR licence or above, current First Aid certificate and national police clearance
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
• Physically fit and able to work in remote FIFO environments

Required skills

• Desirable: Dogging, front end loader and telehandler tickets, and other relevant work licences
