Experienced Designer – Civil, Piping, Structural & Mechanical

About the role

We are seeking experienced Designers across several disciplines – Civil (Concrete), Piping, Structural and Mechanical – to join our Head Office in Ascot, reporting to the Drawing Office Manager. You will work on a variety of mining and mineral processing projects (gold, copper, iron ore) and may attend regular site visits as required.

Key responsibilities

• Produce hard‑copy and electronic CAD drawings that meet client specifications, GRES standards and industry best practices.
• Communicate clear and concise information through drawings to engineers and other stakeholders.
• Manage workload to ensure tasks are completed orderly and on schedule for multiple projects.
• Maintain high accuracy and quality in all design documentation under your control.
• Prepare and review design documents against project schedules.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with discipline‑specific drafting packages such as Solid Edge, AutoCAD, Tekla and Civil 3D.
• Minimum of 10 years design experience.
• Broad experience with 3D CAD platforms and modelling workflows.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving skills in a design context.
• Excellent time‑management, organisational and communication abilities.
• Certificate or Diploma in Design or Engineering (beneficial).
• Experience with mineral process plants and bulk‑materials handling projects.
• Full and unrestricted Australian working rights.
