Exercise Physiologist - EP Led Practice, Sunshine Coast

About the role

Adaptive Bodies Allied Health, an EP-led practice within the Proactive Health network, is hiring an Exercise Physiologist in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast. The practice is led by Director Richard Mozeley, an accredited Exercise Physiologist, and includes three senior EPs. The role sits in a private practice with the support and governance of a national network of more than 40 allied health businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Run comprehensive assessments including functional testing, health screening and exercise capacity
• Design evidence-based programs for clinic, gym, home and community settings
• Deliver individual sessions and group classes, including Type 2 diabetes education and exercise
• Guide WorkCover clients through graduated return-to-work and return-to-gym programs
• Apply a biopsychosocial approach to chronic pain
• Coordinate care with GPs, case managers and other providers
• Keep clinical documentation aligned with ESSA standards and Proactive Health's governance framework

Required profile

• ESSA accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, or eligibility for accreditation
• A recognised degree in Exercise Physiology or Clinical Exercise Physiology
• Current professional indemnity insurance, or willingness to obtain it
• Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle for travel between sites
• Current or willing-to-obtain National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current or willing-to-obtain Queensland Blue Card
• Nice to have: WorkCover or injury management experience, chronic pain experience, interest in neurodivergent clients, strength and conditioning experience

Required skills

• Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and program design skills
• Comfort in a gym setting and running group sessions
