Executive Director, PCM Sales - Public Sector

About the role

The Executive Director, PCM Sales – Public Sector will lead the strategic growth and execution of cash management solutions for public‑sector clients across Australia and PNG. Reporting to the Institutional Transaction Banking Sales division, you will shape the national PCM strategy, deepen relationships with universities and federal agencies, and position ANZ as a trusted transaction‑banking partner.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the national PCM strategy for the Public Sector, driving sustainable revenue growth.
• Lead the strategic growth agenda and represent PCM within the Institutional Public Sector Coverage Leadership Team.
• Drive client origination, account planning and solution delivery in partnership with Coverage, Product, Digital and Technology teams.
• Act as a trusted advisor to public‑sector clients, providing expertise in cash management, treasury and working‑capital solutions.
• Maintain deep knowledge of government priorities, funding models, procurement frameworks and industry trends.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing national sales team, fostering collaboration, innovation and inclusion.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in transaction banking or cash‑management sales.
• Strong track record of managing complex relationships with senior public‑sector stakeholders.
• Ability to develop long‑term client strategies and identify growth opportunities.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a focus on client advocacy.
