About the role
McMahon Services is seeking experienced excavator operators to join a major civil utilities project in Adelaide. The role involves operating excavators and associated plant to support the installation of underground water, sewer, stormwater and other civil infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently on trench excavation, backfilling and service‑installation activities.
- Work around existing underground services and within complex construction environments.
- Perform pre‑start checks, daily maintenance inspections and equipment upkeep.
- Support trench support, shoring and reinstatement in line with project requirements.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years experience operating excavators in civil construction, utilities or infrastructure.
- Relevant licences, White Card and driver’s licence.
- Strong understanding of safe excavation practices and working around underground services.
- Ability to obtain required project and site clearances.
