Events & Programs Coordinator (Full‑time, Fixed‑term)

About the role

The Sony Foundation is seeking a motivated, detail‑oriented Events & Programs Coordinator to support its national fundraising calendar and youth‑focused initiatives. This full‑time, max‑term position (up to 15 months) reports to the General Manager and offers a hands‑on opportunity to contribute to programs that aid young Australians facing cancer, disability, or disadvantage.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, executing and growing the 4Ward Series of events across major Australian cities.
• Coordinate pre‑event logistics: event kits, couriers, catering, ordering, and gift‑bag procurement.
• Develop creative assets such as invitations, digital content, EDMs and on‑site screen material.
• Manage digital platforms, project‑management tools and volunteer recruitment through corporate partnerships.
• Handle guest RSVPs, travel bookings, on‑site event support and post‑event wrap‑up activities.
• Support the annual Corporate Partner Thank‑You event and community fundraising initiatives (e.g., City2Surf).
• Provide administrative assistance for national youth programs including You Can Stay and disability holiday camps.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, proactive attitude with the ability to hit the ground running in a small team.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to travel interstate and work flexible hours during events.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
