Eurobodalla Lifeguard Supervisor

About the role

Surf Life Saving Services is looking for an experienced Lifeguard Supervisor to lead the delivery of high-quality beach safety services across the Eurobodalla Shire. Reporting to the Operations Manager – Aquatic & Event Safety Services, you will give day-to-day leadership, mentoring and operational guidance to Eurobodalla Lifeguards. The position is hands-on, involves regular travel across the region and requires flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and peak periods.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily lifeguard operations and ensure compliance with contracts, standards and SLSS/SLSNSW policies
• Mentor lifeguards, deliver induction, training and professional development, and help with recruitment and onboarding
• Coordinate staffing, rosters and workforce issues, and act as a liaison between lifeguards and management
• Monitor equipment and coordinate maintenance, repairs and replacements
• Take part in accident, incident and near-miss reviews, and support community water safety and education activities
• Maintain daily, incident, payroll, rostering and operational records, and liaise with Council, clubs, emergency services and the community

Required profile

• Significant operational experience in lifeguarding, aquatic rescue or a comparable public safety role
• SLSA Bronze Medallion / Certificate II in Public Safety, or SLSA Gold Medallion / Certificate III in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue)
• Advanced Resuscitation Techniques, First Aid, Silver Medallion Beach Management and Silver Medallion Aquatic Rescue
• Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence and ability to travel across the Eurobodalla region
• Ability to complete the ALS Lifeguard Fitness Assessment and work flexible hours
• Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain and maintain one
