Estimator Draftsperson – Construction & Surveying

About the role

The Estimator Draftsperson will support construction managers, architects and surveyors in delivering accurate cost and design documentation for projects across the Northern Territory. This role combines technical drafting, cost estimating and field data collection to ensure projects meet regulatory and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret plans, regulations and codes of practice to produce working drawings and specifications.
• Prepare, edit and revise sketches, maps, charts and detailed drawings.
• Coordinate works programmes and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Inspect work and materials for compliance with specifications, regulations and standards.
• Calculate costs, estimate time scales and perform routine computations.
• Collect field data using surveying instruments and photogrammetric equipment.

Required profile

• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in a related field.
• At least three years of relevant experience.
• Relevant registration or licensing as required.
• Strong communication, organisation and client‑liaison abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.
