Estimating Manager – Lead National Estimating Team

About the role

Ausco Modular is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to head a nationally distributed team of estimators. Based in either Adelaide (Edinburgh North) or Brisbane (Redbank), you will drive governance, accuracy and capability uplift across the estimating function while aligning practices with the company’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a national team of estimators to ensure timely, accurate, and complete estimates.
• Define and implement estimating strategies, standards and procedures.
• Review estimates, provide guidance and ensure consistency, accuracy and quality.
• Interpret technical specifications, tender documents and building drawings.
• Promote continuous improvement and capability development within the team.
• Collaborate with operational teams and factories to enhance project outcomes.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Proven experience preparing BOQs and cost plans in the building sector.
• Senior estimating or estimating leadership experience.
• Strong track record of standardisation, process improvement and business transformation.
• Ability to lead dispersed teams and influence national stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel interstate regularly (approximately every few months).

Required skills

• Advanced capability with BIM design and estimating software.
• Experience using Autodesk Revit.
• Experience using CostX.
