Estimating Lead – Infrastructure

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Project Director – Cost Estimating to lead and grow its Cost Management capability across Australia. This senior leadership position involves driving technical excellence, operational performance and business growth while building high‑performing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor cost management team leaders and professionals to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
• Act as the primary senior interface for clients, building trusted relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
• Oversee delivery of cost estimating and cost management services, ensuring quality, consistency and timely project delivery.
• Establish and maintain standardized systems, procedures and documentation aligned with Turner & Townsend standards.
• Drive business development activities, secure new opportunities and support tender submissions, negotiations and client presentations.
• Manage resource planning, financial performance, forecasting and commission profitability across the portfolio.

Required profile

• Professional qualification in Construction, Cost Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture or related discipline.
• 20+ years of experience in cost estimating, cost management or consultancy services within the construction industry.
• Proven experience leading cost estimating or cost management commissions on major, complex construction projects.
• Strong commercial acumen and a track record of growing client relationships.
• Demonstrated success leading, mentoring and developing high‑performing cost management teams.
