ERZ Controller – Underground Mine Operations

About the role

Peabody Energy is seeking experienced ERZ Controllers to join the Centurion underground coal mine in Queensland. The role supports safe and efficient production across development, longwall and outby operations, with FIFO/DIDO arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct statutory and compliance inspections in line with legislation and the Centurion Safety, Health and Management System.
• Ensure production processes and equipment are operated safely by all teams.
• Deliver and monitor maintenance schedules according to statutory and site regulations.
• Facilitate crew and shift communication sessions to maintain alignment.
• Drive agreed production targets while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Required profile

• Strong focus on safety and risk management.
• Effective communicator and team player.
• 3rd Class Managers Certificate of Competency or Deputy’s Certificate of Competency.
• Competent supervisory skills with experience in S1, S2, S3 and risk investigation.
• Commitment to high performance standards and a flexible work attitude.
