Environmental Manager - Wastewater Treatment Project

About the role

ACCIONA is partnering with Sydney Water and SMEC on the Malabar System Alliance, a ten-year program to expand and modernise wastewater treatment across Sydney's south and west, including upgrades to the Liverpool and Glenfield facilities. As Manager, Environmental and Sustainability, you will guide all environmental and sustainability matters on the project, reporting to the Project Director, and set the strategic direction for environmental protection, sustainability performance, climate and resource management and regulatory compliance across design, construction, commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all environmental and sustainability functions across the project
• Set governance for environmental and sustainability management for the builder
• Ensure compliance with approvals, EPRs and legislation
• Oversee the Construction Environmental Management Plan and sub-plans
• Drive the Sustainability Management Plan and initiatives
• Monitor and report on performance, targets and KPIs
• Manage environmental and sustainability risk, incidents and audits

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in environmental science or engineering
• Experience managing environmental and sustainability on major projects
• Experience managing sustainability initiatives and reporting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience managing environmental and sustainability on major projects
