Entry Buyer – Sports

About the role
The Iconic is looking for an Entry Buyer to support the Sports category. You will help drive sales growth, manage inventory and work closely with vendors to deliver a compelling assortment for our customers.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct market research and stay up‑to‑date with trends to recommend product and brand selections.
- Monitor inventory levels, evaluate vendor performance and assist with onboarding, deactivation or exit processes.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with commission‑based and wholesale vendors.
- Analyse data, interpret trends and propose decisions to optimise cost and profitability.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Marketing, Vendor Management, Operations and Finance to support category initiatives.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Junior Buyer or Assistant Buyer in a high‑volume environment.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail and time‑management skills.
- Passion for sports, fitness and activewear.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel reporting (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
