Enterprise Business Development Manager
Linkly · Melbourne
Job description
About the role
Linkly is an Australian fintech focused on payment integration solutions, with a recurring billing product called Orbit Online. As Enterprise Business Development Manager you will drive new business growth by selling Orbit Online to enterprise merchants. This is a new business role with a heavy outbound focus: identifying target merchants, opening doors through proactive outreach and leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles through to signature.
Key responsibilities
- Win new enterprise merchants on Orbit Online through direct-to-merchant sales.
- Run a consistent, high-volume outbound motion across calls, email, LinkedIn and events to open conversations with target enterprise merchants.
- Self-source and build a healthy pipeline of qualified enterprise opportunities, working with Commercial Analysts on account research and target lists.
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, engaging executive, payments, IT, procurement and finance stakeholders within large merchant organisations.
- Qualify opportunities rigorously and keep pipeline, activity and forecast data accurate and up to date.
- Shape commercial proposals, pricing and contract negotiations, working with Finance and Legal.
- Work with solutions and delivery teams to keep deals moving from first meeting through to live rollout.
- Help shape how Linkly sells to enterprise merchants as an early member of a newly formed enterprise team.
Required profile
- 7+ years' experience in a new business sales role, more recently with a focus on enterprise, ideally within payments, fintech or software.
- Track record of self-generating pipeline through outbound prospecting and converting it into closed enterprise revenue.
- Experience selling directly to large merchants or enterprise organisations with long sales cycles and multiple decision makers.
- Resilience, discipline and a high work rate to sustain consistent outbound activity.
- Confidence engaging and influencing senior executives within large merchant organisations.
Required skills
- Strong commercial acumen, including proposal development, pricing and contract negotiation.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
