Enrolled Nurse - Gisborne Oaks

About the role

A residential aged care home in Gisborne, home to about 100 residents, is looking for an experienced Enrolled Nurse (EN) to join its team. This is a permanent part-time position with a consistent fortnightly roster of morning shifts from Monday to Wednesday.

Key responsibilities

• Apply clinical skills and up-to-date knowledge of the ageing process to residents within the home
• Tailor holistic care to meet each resident's individual needs
• Respect and promote the dignity, privacy and confidentiality of every resident
• Plan, implement and evaluate care systematically and keep accurate, timely documentation
• Spend time with residents to connect, share stories and show empathy

Required profile

• Current Division 2 nursing registration with AHRPA
• Experience building genuine connections with clients, families and team members
• Understanding of the aged care legislative framework and requirements, including safe medication administration
• Ability to show empathy, treat others with dignity and respect, and work collaboratively with residents, staff, colleagues and other stakeholders
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance ID or ability to obtain it

Required skills

• Clinical skills in areas such as tissue viability, continence management and dementia/behaviour management
• Infection control
