Engineering Manager

About the role

Lead the Machines4U engineering team, shaping product development, platform reliability and delivery cadence for a high‑availability marketplace serving dealership customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own engineering execution from product development to platform reliability and delivery cadence.
• Translate senior leadership priorities into a clear, sequenced engineering roadmap.
• Lead a distributed, high‑performing engineering team and maintain technical and behavioural standards.
• Partner with product and carsales engineering counterparts to align technology decisions with commercial outcomes.
• Modernise the technology stack while balancing legacy stability and migration to secure, scalable systems.
• Oversee platform integrations and third‑party dependencies across marketplace, CRM, payments and reporting.
• Provide engineering input on security, reliability and compliance, managing risks pragmatically.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in a product‑led, commercially driven environment, preferably marketplace or B2B SaaS.
• Strong technical depth across modern web stacks, cloud infrastructure and API design.
• Track record delivering engineering roadmaps that impact business outcomes.
• Ability to work across functions, influence stakeholders and communicate with senior leadership.
