Engineering Manager - Data

About the role

As the Engineering Manager - Data you will lead a distributed team building core models on our data platform, balancing strategic leadership with hands‑on technical delivery. You will shape architecture, ensure stability and quality, and partner with product, platform and security teams to deliver high‑impact data products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build core data models using AWS and Snowflake infrastructure.
• Streamline real‑time data flows and streaming architecture across platform services.
• Lead delivery execution for complex data platform initiatives, managing dependencies and risks.
• Coach senior engineers, raise engineering standards and promote DataOps practices.

Required profile

• Background in data platform delivery with strong data engineering and modelling experience.
• Hands‑on familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Snowflake) and real‑time streaming technologies.
• Proven ability to coach senior engineers, set expectations and support career progression.
• Experience managing platform health, defining Service Level Objectives and leading operational performance.
