Engineer III DevOps NG‑SIEM (Remote, Australia)

About the role

As a Senior Engineer on the NG‑SIEM Serverless Cell Platform team, you will ensure the health, performance, and reliability of CrowdStrike’s next‑generation SIEM platform. The role is fully remote within Australia, supporting a distributed system that ingests over 100 PB of security data daily.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain LogScale cells, respond to incidents, and participate in follow‑the‑sun on‑call rotations (8x7).
• Upgrade clusters and microservices using ring‑based rollouts, deploy patches, and recover cells after failures.
• Build and maintain monitoring, SLIs, alerting, synthetic tests, and operational dashboards.
• Write Go microservices and automation scripts to transform manual procedures into self‑healing workflows.
• Collaborate with product engineering and customer support to troubleshoot production issues and coordinate platform changes.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in site reliability, platform engineering, or infrastructure operations at scale.
• Strong understanding of large‑scale distributed systems, capacity planning, and resource optimization.
• Proven ability to write automation in Go, Python, Java or similar languages.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, OCI, GCP) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for runbooks, incident reports, and cross‑time‑zone collaboration.
