Engagement Manager

About the role

The Engagement Manager will lead local communication and community engagement for a housing portfolio, ensuring tenant outcomes remain central. Based in Parramatta, the role involves frequent site visits across Sydney and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement community engagement plans aligned with the Housing Portfolio’s strategic direction.
• Consult stakeholders at appropriate stages, providing up‑to‑date information on project objectives and benefits.
• Coordinate with Portfolio Management and Engagement teams to maintain a consistent approach to government, media, and senior stakeholder relations.
• Build and sustain relationships with a wide network of internal and external partners to facilitate project activities.
• Monitor community issues, produce proactive communications, and reduce potential issues.
• Prepare and release public information such as newsletters, updates, brochures, presentations, website content, and stakeholder correspondence.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Current driver’s licence and ability to conduct multiple site visits per day.
• Willingness to work from the Parramatta office at least 50 % of the time.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative thinking, high attention to detail, and strong negotiation abilities.

• Annual salary range AUD 129,464 – 142,665 plus superannuation and leave loading.
