Employment Consultant

About the role

Altius Group, a provider of rehabilitation services in Australia, is hiring an Employment Consultant. You will partner with the Rehabilitation Consultant or Vocational Consultant to help people who have been injured or ill find new employment. The role centres on SIRA programs, which place injured workers in host employers during their recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Cold call to identify host employers for injured workers in SIRA programs (volunteer or employee nature)
• Promote SIRA programs and other available incentives
• Create SIRA program and re-training applications for agent review and approval
• Build a database of employers willing to host candidates and travel to client areas to build those relationships
• Provide job skills training and develop resources for injured workers needing new employment
• Achieve placement KPIs, such as placing a client in a work trial within 6 weeks of referral
• Work with the Head of New Employer Services to build resources supporting the position and its expansion nationally

Required profile

• Demonstrated telephone communication skills and strong sales and marketing abilities
• Proven track record in call and sales roles with at least 6 months of experience, meeting KPIs
• Resilient and able to build rapport quickly
• Valid driver's licence and access to a personal vehicle
• Full working rights in Australia; knowledge of the NSW Workers' Compensation scheme is a bonus
