About the role

APM Group is recruiting an Employment Consultant for its Modbury, South Australia site within the Inclusive Employment Australia Program. The role supports people with barriers to employment, such as disability, medical conditions or illness, to prepare for, find and maintain sustainable work. APM is part of a group of over 16,000 people across 11 countries working in human services.

Key responsibilities

• Match participants with suitable jobs and help them prepare for, find and keep employment
• Help participants see their strengths, overcome obstacles and feel confident in their new work
• Offer creative solutions to employment challenges and provide the tools and support needed for success
• Advocate for inclusive hiring practices and workplace adjustments
• Celebrate each successful placement with participants
• Build partnerships with employers who value diversity and inclusion

Required profile

• A champion of diversity and inclusion, believing everyone deserves a chance to succeed
• A natural connector who creates opportunities for participants and speaks confidently with stakeholders
• Innovative and solutions-focused, seeing challenges as opportunities
• Compassionate and empathetic, wanting a lasting positive impact on others' lives
• Experience in other fields such as sales, retail, call centres, hospitality, consulting, business development or administration is an advantage
