Emergency Medicine Senior Registrar / CMO – Coastal NSW

About the role

This position is for an experienced Emergency Medicine doctor to join a large public hospital in a desirable coastal region of New South Wales. The role offers a varied clinical mix, strong senior support, and a lifestyle close to Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality emergency care in a busy, high‑volume ED.
• Work collaboratively with senior clinicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Supervise and support junior medical staff, especially during after‑hours shifts.
• Participate in a rotating roster that includes evenings, nights and weekends.
• Contribute to a positive team culture and maintain a safe clinical environment.

Required profile

• MBBS (or equivalent) with current or eligible registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Minimum 4 years postgraduate experience with strong Emergency Medicine exposure.
• Ability to work independently using sound clinical judgment.
• Experience supervising junior staff is highly regarded.
• Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
