Emergency Management Coordinator

About the role

Emergency Management is central to SVHM's organisational preparedness, safety and business continuity arrangements. The Emergency Management Coordinator works across all SVHM facilities and services to establish and maintain appropriate systems, plans, governance, training and response arrangements. The role works closely with senior leaders, Emergency Coordinators and operational teams to support organisational readiness and give specialist advice during emergencies, exercises and periods of heightened risk. It is a full-time, permanent position based in Melbourne.

• Set and measure team goals and drive higher standards of practice
• Respond to new and complex situations by adjusting behaviour appropriately
• Monitor satisfaction levels and proactively address issues
• Use information and organisational knowledge to make decisions and achieve results
• Lead others, share responsibilities and communicate effectively
• Support emergency preparedness and response, governance and planning, education, training and exercises, incident review and continuous improvement
