Electronics Operator – Afternoon Shift

About the role
We are looking for a full‑time Electronics Operator to join our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) team on the afternoon shift. The role involves operating SMT production equipment and ensuring high‑quality assembly of audio products.
Key responsibilities
- Operate SMT production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform through‑hole soldering to IPC standards.
- Run selective soldering and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment.
- Carry out PCBA assembly, inspection and rework to a high standard.
- Self‑check work, minimise errors and record task times against Production Orders.
- Replenish components and materials and manage job changeovers.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area.
- Support minor maintenance activities and assist team leaders as required.
Required profile
- Experience or knowledge of electronic components and assembly processes.
- Background in electronics manufacturing (highly regarded).
- Strong manual dexterity and good mechanical aptitude.
- High attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage own output.
- Experience assembling or inspecting products under a microscope (preferred).
