Electrician - ITS Projects, Graham Farmer Freeway

About the role

Service Stream is hiring an Electrician for its Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Projects Team, supporting electrical and ITS works as part of the Graham Farmer Freeway Maintenance. The role is permanent and full-time, on a day/night rotating basis with night-loading available. It is based in WA, East Perth.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out all works in line with approved drawings, specifications and standards
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS requirements
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and safety audits, and review and implement SWMS and risk assessments
• Monitor work progress and report productivity, delays and issues to the Construction Manager
• Ensure quality control through inspections, testing and verification of completed works
• Assist with planning, scheduling and resource allocation, and liaise with clients, inspectors and stakeholders on site
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, timesheets and material usage
• Support commissioning, testing and handover of ITS and electrical systems
• Undertake night works as required for periodic shutdown events every 2 months

Required profile

• Electrical Trade Qualification, current Electrical Licence, White Card and Driver's Licence
• Experience in electrical works, ITS or infrastructure projects
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of construction, safety and quality requirements
• Traffic control and/or road authority tickets desirable

Required skills

• Installation and maintenance of electrical and ITS assets, including traffic signals, CCTV, VMS and communications systems
• Strong technical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Effective communication, teamwork and time management
