Electrician / Instrumentation Technician – Residential Roster

About the role

Nyrstar Port Pirie is inviting expressions of interest for electricians in its Maintenance Department and experienced instrumentation technicians. The residential position in Port Pirie, South Australia, carries a 5/4-day roster (4 days on, 5 days off), giving more days off than a standard weekend, including two full weekends each month.

Required profile

• Qualified electrician with an unrestricted electrical licence across Australia or New Zealand, or a new migrant with a restricted licence needing bridging to an unrestricted one.
• Experienced instrumentation technician, even without an electrical licence, with strong instrumentation skills and industrial experience.
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia (citizen, permanent resident or valid visa holder).
• Relevant electrical trade qualification.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn and adapt in a complex processing environment.
• Experience in heavy industry, mining or smelting preferred.
