Electrical Tradesperson – Rail Maintenance

About the role

Join Aurizon's Rollingstock Maintenance team at the Narngulu depot, maintaining locomotives, wagons and rail infrastructure to keep freight services running safely across Western Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on locomotives, rail cars, wagons, plant and infrastructure.
• Ensure all work complies with Workplace Health and Safety legislation and technical specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of asset condition, maintenance programmes and costing.
• Report work performed against scheduled programmes and contribute to continuous improvement of procedures.

Required profile

• Valid Electrical licence (mandatory).
• Electrical trade qualification or equivalent (mandatory).
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Willingness to undergo a Category 1 rail medical, including drug and alcohol screening.

Required skills

• Fault finding and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Computer literacy for record‑keeping and reporting.
