Electrical Technician

About the role

Seven West Media is looking for a skilled and motivated electrician to join its Engineering Services Team in Perth. You will work alongside an experienced maintenance team to keep the facility running safely, efficiently and reliably through preventative maintenance, fault finding and responsive repairs. The role offers a unique roster with a three-day working week of mostly 12-hour shifts and minimal weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across the production facility.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime.
• Maintain and support high-speed production, automated and electrical systems.
• Work with the wider Engineering Services Team to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
• Assist with planned maintenance, continuous improvement and equipment reliability.

Required profile

• WA Electrical Licence is essential.
• Ability to work a rotating roster of 12-hour shifts across a three-day week, with minimal weekend work.
• Proven electrical and mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills, ideally in a high-speed manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills, able to work autonomously and under pressure.
• Good communication skills with a practical, customer-focused approach.
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment; only applicants with valid Australian work rights will be considered.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical safety procedures and relevant Australian Standards.
• Confident reading electrical schematics and working with isolation and permitting systems.
• Certificate IV in Instrumentation and Control, or equivalent demonstrated capability.
• Strong computer literacy, including software, networks and technical documentation.
