Electrical Site Manager / Foreman – HV & LV

About the role

An established electrical contractor is looking for an experienced Electrical Site Manager / Foreman to join its Sydney team, overseeing High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical construction works on a major hospital project in Sydney's Inner West. The role suits someone with strong site leadership experience across HV and LV infrastructure who enjoys managing large site teams and coordinating complex installations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day delivery of HV and LV electrical works on the hospital project.
• Supervise electrical tradespeople, Leading Hands and subcontractors, ensuring safe, efficient work to specification.
• Coordinate installations across switchgear, substations, transformers, main switchboards, power distribution, cable containment and related services.
• Manage site programming, labour allocation, materials and subcontractor activities.
• Work with Project Managers, engineers, builders and other trades to keep electrical works aligned with the construction program.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate HV activities such as isolations, testing, commissioning and energisation with authorised personnel.
• Monitor progress, productivity, quality assurance and milestones, and ensure compliance with WHS, safety procedures, SWMS and Australian Standards.
• Resolve technical issues and site coordination conflicts, and assist with inspections, testing, commissioning and handover.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years' experience as an Electrical Foreman, Supervisor or Site Manager in the Australian electrical construction industry.
• Proven experience supervising HV and LV installations on major commercial, industrial or infrastructure projects; hospital or large-scale project experience highly regarded.
• Experience managing tradespeople, Leading Hands and subcontractors on large sites.
• Experience coordinating electrical works with builders, engineers, consultants and other trades.
• NSW Electrical Licence; HV training, authorisations or qualifications highly regarded.

Required skills

• Strong technical understanding of HV/LV switchgear, substations, transformers, switchboards and power distribution.
• Ability to read HV and LV drawings, specifications, single-line diagrams and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of electrical construction methods, site programming and project delivery.
• Sound knowledge of Australian Electrical Standards, WHS regulations and HV/LV safety requirements.
