Electrical Site Engineer – Alkimos Desalination Project

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer – Electrical, you will lead the safe, on‑time and on‑budget delivery of electrical engineering works for the Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant in Perth. You will manage construction methods, schedules and quality, apply digital engineering tools, and provide technical guidance from concept through commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead weekly safety and environmental inspections across the site.
• Review and approve construction method statements and workpacks.
• Manage project schedules and critical‑path activities using Primavera P6.
• Oversee construction engineering activities and drive cost control.
• Apply digital engineering tools to plan and coordinate works.
• Drive quality through ITPs, NCRs and timely lot close‑out.
• Provide electrical design guidance and technical support to project teams.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering major infrastructure or water projects.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling and digital engineering tools.
• Sound understanding of ITP, NCR and QA processes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
