Electrical & Instrumentation Quality Advisor

About the role

EnerMech is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Quality Advisor to support maintenance, shutdown, inspection and project activities within a major refinery environment. Reporting to the Site Management Team, you will provide QA/QC oversight to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently and in line with approved procedures, standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide QA and QC support for E&I maintenance, shutdown, inspection and project activities.
• Conduct field inspections, audits and quality surveillance throughout execution.
• Review and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Inspection Test Records (ITRs) and related documentation.
• Raise, coordinate and track Technical Queries with engineering teams.
• Investigate quality incidents, non‑conformances and repeat failures, implementing corrective actions.
• Support supervisors and trades personnel to meet quality requirements and compliance.
• Facilitate quality meetings, lessons‑learned workshops and continuous improvement forums.

Required profile

• Electrical Trade Qualification with current licence or an Engineering Degree.
• Experience in oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, mining, power generation or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC principles in maintenance and shutdown settings.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and engineering specifications for electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
