E&I Commissioning Technician - Perth FIFO

About the role

Pearl Recruitment is recruiting experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Commissioning Technicians for multiple FIFO projects across Western Australia, working with a well-established engineering and automation contractor. The client delivers electrical, instrumentation, mechanical and commissioning services in the mining, minerals processing and heavy industrial sectors. The roster is 8:6 and 2:1, 12-hour days, with project durations of up to 6 months.

Key responsibilities

• Complete commissioning documentation and ITRs
• Carry out construction verification, no-load and load commissioning
• Perform loop checking, calibration and field instrumentation verification
• Functionally test motors, MCCs, switchgear, valves, PLCs and SCADA systems
• Update commissioning mark-ups and redline drawings

Required profile

• Current unrestricted WA Electrical Licence
• Current LVR/CPR
• WA White Card
• Current C class driver's licence
• Minimum 12 months' commissioning experience in mining, oil & gas or heavy industry
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen

Required skills

• Confined spaces, working at heights, gas testing and basic fire training
• BHP induction or willingness to complete it

• Pay of $95 per hour day shift and $105 per hour night shift, plus superannuation on all site hours
