Early Childhood Trainee - Certificate III Pathway

About the role

BFS Children's Services is looking for an Early Childhood Trainee for its BFS Stewart Street Early Learning centre in Wollongong. The role is full-time and runs for a maximum of 18 months, with the aim of earning while you learn toward a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. You will work alongside an experienced team of educators and teachers caring for children aged 0-5. No prior skills or qualifications are expected; the organisation will teach you everything you need to know.

Required profile

• Aged 18 or older
• No qualifications or experience required; applicants already holding a Certificate III or above in Early Childhood Education and Care are ineligible
• Ability to work full-time hours
• Passion for working with children and for improving outcomes for local children, families and communities
• Commitment to keeping children safe and healthy
• Cleared NSW Working with Children's Check (WWCC) and a cleared National Criminal Record Check
• Completed the National Child Safety Training Foundation Course
• Two referees, one of whom must be a manager or supervisor at your current or most recent workplace
