Early Childhood Teacher – Full-time (Taigum, QLD)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our reputable Taigum Child Edu‑care Centre. This full‑time position involves planning, delivering and evaluating high‑quality early learning programs for children in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement child‑care programs that support physical, cognitive, emotional and social development.
• Lead activities such as storytelling, songs, arts, dramatic play, music and physical exercise.
• Plan and maintain a safe, healthy environment that protects children’s well‑being.
• Assess children’s abilities, interests and needs; communicate progress and concerns with parents and staff.
• Observe for learning or behavioural issues and prepare reports for parents or supervisors.
• Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing and toileting habits.
• Collaborate with co‑workers, community service providers and, when required, supervise other educators and assistants.

Required profile

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
• Current First Aid qualifications (CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis, General First Aid) as required by the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010.
• Minimum 12 months professional experience in early childhood teaching in Australia, including curriculum development, child assessment and mentoring of educators.
• Experience supporting children with diverse learning needs and implementing inclusive teaching strategies.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with parents, carers and external service providers.

• Full‑time permanent position with an annual salary between $83,000 and $86,000 (plus superannuation).
