Early Childhood Teacher (Early Learning Centre)

About the role

We are seeking an Early Childhood Teacher to lead high‑quality, play‑based programmes in our vibrant Early Learning Centres. Working closely with the Educational Leader, Lead Educators and the Centre Director, you will ensure that learning experiences align with the Early Years Learning Framework, the National Quality Framework and the National Quality Standard.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and evaluate play‑based curricula that support children’s development.
• Guide and mentor educators in planning and implementing EYLF‑aligned programmes.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment and document children’s progress.
• Build strong partnerships with families and contribute to the Centre’s Quality Improvement Plan.
• Support compliance with child safety, health and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• ACE‑recognised Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent approved qualification, or a Diploma plus 50% of a Bachelor degree, or current enrolment in a recognised Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood).
• Current registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (or eligibility to obtain before start).
• Paid ACT Working with Vulnerable People card, Food Safety, First Aid/CPR and Asthma/Anaphylaxis certificates (or willingness to obtain).
• Completion of Y mandatory training and online modules, including Geccko Child Safety courses and ACT Government safeguarding training.
