Early Childhood Education and Care Services Leader

About the role

St Joseph's Catholic College in Katherine offers education from its Early Learning Centre (ELC) for children aged 3 to 5 to Year 12. The ECEC Services Leader is a CEO appointment based at the school's ECEC, reporting to the Leader of Education and Care Services at Catholic Education Office Northern Territory. The role leads operational, regulatory and pedagogical excellence across the ELC and the Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service, and acts as the Nominated Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Coach, mentor and inspire staff through induction, professional learning and positive culture building.
• Oversee budgets, enrolments, staff ratios and day-to-day operations of both services in line with National Law, Regulations and CENT policies.
• Drive implementation of EYLF V2, MTOP V2 and NQS and maintain continuous improvement systems.
• Build partnerships with families, school leadership and allied health professionals while embedding Catholic identity, values and inclusive practices.

Required profile

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) and HLTAID012, with leadership experience in an early childhood setting.
• Well-developed coaching and mentoring skills and experience building an engaged workforce.
• Working with Children clearance (NT Ochre Card), National Police Check and PRODA RA number, plus mandatory child safety training (Foundation and Advanced).
• Desirable: experience leading improvement and change, knowledge of the 1Place compliance platform and Xplor CCMS, and active membership of a Catholic Eucharistic community.
