Dumper Operator (Mining)

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Dumper Operator to work at Peak Quarry in Eersteriver. You will be responsible for safely moving material around the mining site while adhering to strict safety and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the dumper and any special attachments required for the job.
• Complete daily pre‑start checklists and keep the equipment clean and in good condition.
• Report any mechanical or safety issues promptly.
• Assist with housekeeping and general production area upkeep.
• Work overtime, including Saturdays, when required.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and take on additional tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• 3‑5 years of experience operating similar heavy equipment.
• Pre‑employment medical clearance and fitness under the Mine Health and Safety Act.
• Valid MQA accredited Operator’s certificate.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is advantageous.
