Driving Instructor (Contractor)

About the role

NRMA is recruiting a contracted driving instructor for its driving school, which won the 2026 Finder's Most Loved Driving School award. The role starts with learner lessons and the NSW Safer Drivers Course, and grows with experience into senior assessments and corporate training programs.

Required profile

• Valid registered ACN
• Own dual-control white vehicle, less than 5 years old, with a 5-star ANCAP rating
• Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training or equivalent
• Valid NSW Driving Instructor License and NSW Class C driver's licence
• Valid Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
• Desirable: Valid TfNSW Safer Drivers Course qualification

• Communication across different demographics and driving confidence levels
• Strong knowledge of NSW road rules and regulations
• Effective diary management and flexible scheduling
• Adaptable to different customer learning styles
