Domestic Assistant - Cannington and Surrounds

About the role

Silverchain is recruiting Domestic Assistants for a casual role, mainly needed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9am and 3pm. Applicants must live in Cannington, East Cannington, Ferndale, Parkwood, Queens Park, Riverton, Rossmoyne, Shelley, Willetton or Wilson. The role supports clients to stay independent through domestic assistance, general housekeeping, meal preparation and social support, travelling between clients' homes and following a digital schedule and care plan via a mobile app.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality support that promotes client independence.
• Deliver domestic assistance and general housekeeping tasks.
• Prepare meals and support clients with basic nutrition needs.
• Provide social support and help clients stay engaged in their community.
• Follow a predetermined schedule while travelling between clients' homes.
• Use a mobile app to access and follow digital schedules and care plans independently.

Required profile

• Resides in one of the listed Cannington suburbs.
• 3-6 months of domestic or industrial cleaning experience.
• Valid driver's licence with unrestricted access to a registered, properly insured and in good condition vehicle.
• Ability and willingness to work autonomously in the community, travelling from home to home.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.

• $43.03 per hour (inclusive of 25% loading) plus superannuation.
