Dock Hand – Freight Handling

About the role

A leading national freight and logistics operation is looking for experienced dock hands to join its busy transport and distribution team in Upper Coomera. The role suits people who enjoy physical work, work well in a team and are committed to high safety standards. It is a fast-paced position with immediate starts available.

Key responsibilities

• Loading and unloading freight from trailers and dock areas
• Sorting and staging freight for dispatch
• Manual handling of parcels and general freight
• Pick packing and freight preparation
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times

Required profile

• Previous dock hand, freight handling, warehouse or logistics experience
• Pick packing experience
• Reliable, with excellent attendance and punctuality
• Physically fit and able to handle repetitive manual handling
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must pass a police check and drug and alcohol screening

What we offer

• Casual pay of $38.61 per hour

• Day and afternoon shifts: 10:00am-6:30pm and 1:30pm-10:00pm, each with a 30-minute unpaid break
